Mission
The world's fastest land animal is running out of time! Please help us save the wild cheetah from extinction and preserve its wilderness habitat. Using innovative conservation methods to protect the welfare of both cheetah and human populations.Success Story
Our Cheetah Conservation Fund in Africa is making a difference because we focus on educating local people about this shy, endangered cat, as well as researching the cheetah itself. We don't condemn the farmers who shoot cheetahs in order to protect their livestock; we help them change their livestock practices to reduce conflict, and we have developed an award-winning education program for schools to educate kids about the cheetah.Formerly, farmers trapped cheetahs and then shot them. They now contact the CCF field headquarters and ask for help in relocating the cheetahs they have trapped. One farmer who admitted to killing 150 cheetah in his lifetime called us early this year for the first time, because his two children (after hearing about our program in their school) told him he must.Slowly, the tide is turning. We need your help, now more than ever.
